*** 1:1 and small group intervention session
 
We are seeking an enthusiastic Psychology Graduate Teaching Assistant to join this ‘Outstanding’ primary school in the heart of Wolverhampton City Centre. This role will focus on providing one-on-one and small group support to children with SEN, contributing significantly to their learning and overall development.
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to children with special educational needs.
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet the individual needs and learning styles of each student.
  • Collaborate with the SENCO and class teachers to develop and implement tailored interventions and support plans.
  • Assist in monitoring and recording the progress of SEN students.
  • Contribute to creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Implement behaviour management strategies in collaboration with the class teacher.
  • Support the planning and delivery of engaging lessons and activities.

Requirements:
  • A degree in Psychology or a related field.
  • Passion for working with children and a commitment to inclusive education.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Empathy, patience, and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • Knowledge of SEN best practices and strategies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
