About the Organisation:
Our client is a highly respected Registered Charity that has been supporting individuals on the autism spectrum for over 30 years. Their Further Education provision offers tailored support to young people with autism, helping them thrive in both educational and vocational settings. The charity is dedicated to creating an inclusive environment where each student can achieve their full potential.

The Role:
We are seeking a dedicated and caring SEN Support Worker to join our client’s Further Education team. You will be working with students on the autism spectrum, supporting them in their education and personal development. The role will involve working both within the classroom and, at times, in the wider community, engaging in vocational activities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide support to young people with autism in their educational and personal development.
  • Ensure a calm, structured, and supportive learning environment.
  • Support students in classroom activities as well as in community-based and outdoor settings.
  • Collaborate with teaching staff and other professionals to deliver personalised learning experiences.
  • Maintain a strong awareness of safeguarding protocols and the safety of all students.
What We’re Looking For:
  • A good level of general education, preferably with Level 2 qualifications in English and Maths.
  • A positive interest in working with young people on the autism spectrum.
  • An understanding of safeguarding responsibilities.
  • The ability to work calmly and professionally under pressure.
  • A caring and dedicated attitude towards the development of each student.
  • Willingness to work outdoors and in the wider community, supporting vocational and life skills activities.
Why Join Us?
By becoming a part of this established and compassionate team, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of young people with autism. In return, you’ll receive ongoing training and support, a competitive salary, and the chance to work in a rewarding and meaningful role.
