Job Title: Intervention Tutor (Maths & English)
Location: Gateshead
Part-Time and Full-Time Roles Available

The Role:
We are seeking passionate Intervention Tutors to work with students across Key Stages 1 to 4 in the Newcastle area. This role offers the flexibility of both part-time and full-time opportunities. You will work with students who require additional support in Maths and English, helping them to bridge gaps in their learning and build confidence in these core subjects. The tutoring sessions will take place outside of the conventional school setting, giving you the opportunity to tailor your approach to each student's unique needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver targeted intervention sessions in Maths and English to both primary and secondary students.
  • Plan and implement engaging lessons that are aligned with the curriculum and tailored to the individual needs of each student.
  • Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback to help them overcome learning barriers.
  • Create a supportive learning environment that encourages student participation and confidence in their abilities.
  • Work closely with parents/guardians to ensure the student is progressing towards their learning goals.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Experience working with primary and secondary age students (KS1 to KS4).
  • A strong understanding of the Maths and English curriculum.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with students.
  • A passion for teaching and the ability to adapt your teaching style to meet individual learning needs.
