Job Description
Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? Do you have a deep understanding of autism and want to be part of a supportive, rewarding environment? We are looking for dedicated individuals to join our SEN provision in Durham on a full-time or part-time basis.

Position: SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Durham (Free Parking Available)
Working Hours: 8:45 am - 4:30 pm
Contract: Full-time or Part-time

About the Role: You will be working within a further education setting, supporting students with a range of needs, primarily focusing on those with autism. Your role will involve assisting with classroom activities, providing 1:1 support, and ensuring a positive, inclusive learning environment.

What We're Looking For:
  • Understanding of Autism: Essential for this role as you'll be supporting students with diverse learning and communication needs.
  • Experience working with Autism: Highly desirable, but not essential. Full training and support will be provided.
  • Compassion and Patience: Key to helping our students thrive.
  • Team Player: Able to work collaboratively with teaching staff and other professionals.
