About the Role You will support students with a range of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, which may include:
- Autism (ASC)
- ADHD
- Speech, Language and Communication Needs
- Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH)
- Moderate learning needs
Responsibilities include:
- Providing 1:1 and small-group support
- Assisting the class teacher with differentiated learning
- Helping pupils engage, regulate and progress
- Building positive, professional relationships with students
- Supporting personal development and emotional well-being
About You We are looking for someone who is:
- Patient, caring and resilient
- Experienced in supporting SEND (school, care or youth setting) – desirable but not essential
- Confident working with varied needs and behaviours
- Able to use initiative and collaborate with staff
- Committed to safeguarding and inclusive practice
Requirements
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
- Relevant experience in education, childcare, support work or youth work
- Professional references covering the last 2 years
