About the Role:The Education Network is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Design & Technology Teacher to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will have a strong background in teaching Design & Technology at the secondary level and will be committed to delivering engaging and innovative lessons that inspire students to develop their skills and creativity.
As a Design & Technology teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering high-quality lessons, promoting a passion for the subject, and helping students achieve their full potential. You will work in collaboration with colleagues across the school to create an exciting and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:- Plan and deliver engaging Design & Technology lessons for students across key stages [insert specific year groups, e.g., KS3, KS4, etc.].
- Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where students feel inspired to develop their design and practical skills.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and support to help them achieve their academic goals.
- Develop and update curriculum materials, ensuring they reflect current industry trends and technological advancements.
- Manage classroom resources effectively and maintain a safe, well-organized working environment.
- Contribute to the wider school community through extra-curricular activities, clubs, and events related to Design & Technology.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop innovative approaches to teaching and learning.
About You:- A relevant teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent) with experience teaching Design & Technology in a secondary school setting.
- A strong passion for Design & Technology and the ability to inspire students to develop their creativity and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent subject knowledge, including a wide range of design processes, materials, and technologies.
- A proactive and positive approach to teaching, with excellent communication skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively within a team and contribute to the development of the department.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
