The Education Network is currently recruiting for a SEND Support Assistant to work in a welcoming and forward-thinking SEN school in Leeds. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for helping young people with additional needs reach their full potential.
The Role: As a SEND Support Assistant, you will:

• Work closely with teachers and the SENCO to support students with a range of needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, SEMH, and speech and language difficulties.
• Provide one-to-one and small group support to help pupils engage with learning and build confidence.
• Use creative strategies to promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being.
• Assist with classroom organisation, resource preparation, and differentiated learning activities.
• Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils and staff to create a safe and supportive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Experience working with children or young people with SEND (in school, youth work, or care settings).
• A patient, empathetic, and resilient attitude.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• A valid DBS on the Update Service (or be willing to obtain one).
• Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE, Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Psychology, Education, or Health & Social Care) are desirable but not essential.
