Job Description
Attendance Officer – Secondary
Do you have experience as a Pastoral Lead or Attendance Officer? Do you enjoy helping students overcome barriers that prevent them from attending school? This busy secondary school is looking to add an attendance officer to the team to support children who struggle to attend school. This role requires a driver as you will be required to attend home visits and will be providing support on the minibus.

You will be joining a proactive and welcoming team that is focused on ensuring that every child is given the appropriate support to enable them to enjoy and engage with education. Resilience and a passion for making a difference is essential as you will be working with reluctant learners. This is a wonderful opportunity for a driven, kind and caring individual to make a  difference. Experience in a pastoral or attendance capacity is essential for this role.
Job Role:
  • Attending home visits to collect students and meet parents.
  • Supporting students on the commute to school.
  • Working on a 1-2-1 basis with students to break down barriers and motivate attendance.
  • Working with parents to ensure that students and parents are supported appropriately.
  • Acting as a positive role model and motivator for students.
