Job Description
SEN Teacher -  Are you an experienced SEN teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity in a welcoming SEN primary school? Do you enjoy seeing children thrive in a supportive and  nurturing environment? This is an excellent opportunity for a caring and compassionate SEN Teacher to join a supportive team of SEN Teachers and Teaching Assistants who are working together to secure the best possible outcomes for pupils.

As a SEN Teacher at this school, you will be teaching a small class of primary aged children with a primary diagnosis of Autism and associated learning needs. You will be supported by a minimum of two Teaching Assistants, who will provide support for pupils and help you to manage the classroom. Ideally you will have experience teaching primary aged children in a SEN environment, however the school is happy to consider teachers from mainstream backgrounds who are looking to make the transition into SEN teaching. This role requires QTS, and a love for working with special educational needs!

Job Role:
  • Planning and delivering creative, differentiated lessons for children with Autism and moderate learning needs.
  • Teaching a small class of primary aged pupils, with support from skilled teaching assistants.
  • Working closely with the wider school team to implement EHCP targets and individual learning plans.
  • Creating a positive, inclusive classroom that supports communication, independence, and social development.
  • Making learning fun, engaging and interactive for pupils the leadership believes that school should be a special place for every child.
  • Contributing to the wider school community and whole-child approach to education.
