Special Educational Needs Teacher – SEND School
Are you a qualified Teacher looking for a rewarding opportunity supporting children with additional learning needs? Do you want to teach small classes where personalised learning, specialist support and strong relationships help pupils thrive? This welcoming all-through SEND school in Solihull is looking to appoint a committed Special Educational Needs Teacher to work with pupils with moderate to complex learning needs in a well-resourced and supportive environment.

As a Special Educational Needs Teacher at this school, you will deliver a highly personalised curriculum tailored to the needs of pupils with Autism, Down’s Syndrome and physical disabilities. You will teach small classes and work closely with an experienced team of Teaching Assistants to create a structured, engaging and inclusive classroom where pupils can build confidence, develop independence and make meaningful progress. The school offers excellent facilities and a supportive leadership team committed to providing staff with the resources and guidance they need to succeed. Teachers from both primary and secondary backgrounds are encouraged to apply. Qualified Teacher Status is essential.

Job Role:
  • Teaching small classes of pupils with moderate to complex learning needs
  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons tailored to individual abilities
  • Creating a structured, inclusive and nurturing learning environment
  • Working closely with an experienced team of Teaching Assistants
  • Supporting pupils with Autism, Down’s Syndrome and physical disabilities
  • Promoting communication, independence and social development
  • Assessing, monitoring and recording pupil progress
  • Contributing to EHCP targets and personalised learning plans
