Job Description
Graduate Speech & Language Teaching Assistant

Are you a graduate with a speech and language degree? Can you utilise your degree knowledge and provide specialist speech support to pupils in EYFS, KS1 & KS2?

Provide specialist speech and language support and gain experience in a primary school.

*** Graduate Speech & Language Teaching Assistant
*** £70 - £80 per day, immediate start
*** Main stream primary school based in Great Barr
*** Pupils aged between 4 and 11
*** Pupils have access to a broad and balanced curriculum

The role is to develop and prepare visual materials for therapy and classroom sessions, working under the supervision of the class teacher.

Along with specialist speech support, you will be required to carry out general teaching assistant responsibilities, working on a 1:1 and small group basis.

The post will include extensive in house and external training, to help further develop your skills with the opportunity to obtain further qualifications in Language and Communication. There will be support and supervision from the Speech and Language Therapy Department.
