The Role
As Head of English, you will be responsible for leading the English department, ensuring high standards of teaching and learning across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will develop and implement an engaging curriculum that meets the needs of all students, including those with additional learning needs. Your role will also involve mentoring and supporting staff, analysing performance data, and fostering a culture of academic success.
 
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will be a passionate and experienced English teacher with a proven track record of raising attainment. You should have excellent leadership skills and the ability to motivate both students and staff. A strong understanding of curriculum planning, assessment, and behaviour management is essential, as is a commitment to supporting students in an alternative provision setting.
