The Role
A Good-rated secondary school in Birmingham is seeking a knowledgeable and committed Religious Studies Teacher to join their Humanities department from February 2026 on a full-time supply basis. The role involves teaching Religious Studies across KS3 to KS5, delivering engaging lessons that encourage critical thinking, respectful discussion, and strong examination outcomes.
You will take responsibility for planning, teaching, and assessing pupils’ work, maintaining high standards of behaviour, and contributing positively to the wider Humanities team. This role would suit an experienced RS teacher or an ECT looking to gain KS5 experience within a supportive school environment.
The Candidate
The successful candidate will:
- Hold QTS (or be an ECT)
- Have experience teaching Religious Studies at secondary level
- Be confident delivering KS5 content
- Demonstrate effective classroom and behaviour management
- Be organised, reflective, and committed to pupil progress
