The Role
We are seeking a reliable and confident Cover Supervisor to join a secondary school in Walsall from October 2026 on a long-term supply basis.
The successful candidate will supervise classes across KS3 and KS4, ensuring students remain focused and engaged with the work provided by their usual teachers.
You will be responsible for maintaining a positive classroom environment, managing behaviour effectively and ensuring that lessons run smoothly in the absence of the regular teacher.
The Candidate
The ideal candidate will:
- Have experience working with secondary-age students
- Be confident supervising classes across KS3 and KS4
- Demonstrate strong classroom and behaviour management skills
- Be able to follow lesson plans and instructions effectively
- Communicate clearly and build positive relationships with students
- Be organised, reliable and adaptable
- Have a professional approach to supporting students’ learning
The School
You will be joining a secondary school in Walsall, supporting students across KS3 and KS4 and helping to maintain continuity of learning during teacher absence.
This long-term supply opportunity offers the chance to contribute positively to the school environment while gaining valuable experience working across different classes and year groups.
